Research has proven that mindfulness is helpful to reduce anxiety and depression. Meditators are generally happier than non-meditators, as mindfulness meditation increases reduces activity in the amygdala, which decreases anxiety and increases activity in the left prefrontal cortex, which reduces depression.

Mindfulness is mind training. By attending an 8 week course you will learn to come out of the mind, out of the past and the future and begin to live in the present. This will reduce much of your suffering.
