Nick embarked upon his healing journey in November 2016. In 2020 he came to me; Katarina Tilley, at Living in the Light, Little Clacton, for his Reiki Masters. As he had studied a different form of Reiki (in Colchester), I advised him to redo Reiki 1 and 2 because he had not learned Original Usui Reiki and there were too many gaps to bridge.

Nick completed his Reiki journey, with Living in the Light, Little Clacton, in Essex.

I tailor-made a combined Reiki 1 and 2 course, to suit Nick's needs. On the course itself, all that Nick needed, was imparted and he learned a great deal. He discovered Original Usui Reiki. The course expanded his healing skills and capacity. He also learned more about himself. Nick enjoyed exploring the new healing techniques, energy exercises, Gassho meditation, Kotodama and the increased healing energy.

Some months, after the course, he began to prepare for Reiki Masters. The Reiki Masters course is very involved, especially day 1 and Nick did all the necessary preparations.

Finally, his long awaited course date arrived. He felt a mixture of excitement and trepidation. I went through the Reiki Masters material, methodically and highlighted the responsibility of Reiki Mastership, to ensure the 'birth' of a mindful Reiki Master that will take care of his students.

We approached the learning of initiating others, step-by-step, making sure that Nick understood the entire process and gave him plenty of time to practice. Day 1 is a very busy day, with much information to be absorbed and then implemented. Day 2 is usually very welcomed and it is generally experienced as an easier day. Nick was no exception, in this regard.

Nick did very well on the course. He learned new symbols and practiced chanting the additional Kotodama, he demonstrated understanding of the initiation process throughout the practical sessions and Nick also learned new healing techniques and much more. Nick met all the objectives.

By the end of the Reiki Masters course, Nick's Reiki vision was complete and a great sense of fulfilment was felt, on both our parts. It is truly a joy and a blessing to be part of somebody's spiritual and healing 'journey'.

As a result of Reiki, we each also have the additional benefit of a lovely friendship that is rooted in spirituality, mutual respect and kindness.

Much has been said about Reiki but few have mentioned the fact that Reiki is love. In one sense Reiki is a process of growth, into a more genuine, expansive and loving human being. Love always transforms the giver and the receiver.

Such is Reiki... Finally, Reiki leads you towards wholeness.
